Accommodation, Meals, Gear, etc...

The Lofoten Islands Sea Kayak Expedition
Accommodation:
Rorbu accommodation: a rorbu is a traditional fisherman’s cabin and accommodates 4 to 8 persons. A rorbu is a self-contained fisherman’s cabin that was traditionally large enough to house one boat crew consisting of 4 to 8 fishermen. Each rorbu has a common room with a kitchen and bedrooms and/or hems for sleeping. There is also one bath with a shower in each rorbu. The rorbu complexes we have chosen for our accommodation have all been recently renovated and are very comfortable.
N.B. Coastal Odyssey reserves the right to make route and accommodation changes as needed
Meals:
All meals are included except the last day’s dinner (either in Svolvær or on the Hurtigruta back to Bodø). There is always plenty of fresh and tasty food on our tours. Nature’s grocery store is the source of most of our ingredients. Abundant fish and seafood, wild meats, wholesome breads, tasty cheeses, fresh vegetables and arctic berries provide nourishment and taste delicious. You’ll be sure to find something that will suit your taste at our European breakfasts, picnic lunches, while for supper we will enjoy local specialities at some of Lofoten’s best restaurants. With advanced notice most dietary restrictions can be happily accommodated.
Gear: Personal Equipment Checklist
A detailed list of what you need to bring in terms of clothing and gear is provided in your trip information package. We strongly recommend adhering to this gear list as closely as possible.
